I created the avatar over five years ago (when I was MUCH younger and I won't lie, much less aware of politics in the world) before I understood the politics and history between Northern Ireland and the Republic (to be fair, I still can't claim that I understand the politics now, I am simply more familiar with them and recognize that it is a very complex issue that there are many sides to). When I made the avatar I made it of just the Republic because that was what my research indicated to me was "Ireland," after visiting Northern Ireland I now know that many of the residents consider themselves to be more Irish than British (though there also exist residents of Northern Ireland who consider themselves more British than Irish as well), but when I made my Avatar I hadn't yet lived in Ireland to gain that insight.

Thank you for pointing out the error in my avatar, if I have time this weekend I'll remake my avatar so that it is more geographically accurate, as well as politically accurate.
